  • Mask of Scars — Pathfinder Feat

Mask of Scars – Pathfinder Feat

In agony, you call forth the Rough Beast … and his servants thrash. Soon, by your hand and by your word, the living and the dead alike – all those merry and dancing damned – will walk before you in final black procession.

    image

Prerequisite: Gravewalker witch archetype; must be taken at the first level of the Witch class; non-Good and non-Lawful alignment; worshiper of Rovagug

Benefit: You may freely take the Scarred Witchdoctor archetype, even if you are not an orc, despite losing your 1st-level hex to both archetypes. Your fetish mask functions as your spell poppet: you must cut or stab your mask to gain the benefits of the Deliver Touch Spells supernatural ability within your Aura of Desecration, although this does not harm your fetish mask.

Whenever you are in combat, you can only speak and understand Aklo. This does not interfere with spell-casting, but it does apply to spells that are language dependent. You gain Aklo as a bonus language.

Designer’s Note: This special prestige class is especially appropriate in a Pathfinder Modern Auspices of the Armageddon Engine Campaign.

This feat is of exceptional use with the Body of the Wastelands, Last Standing in the Dust, Malign Puppeteer and Sickness of Swarms feats.

  • Ace Gambler — Combat Feat

    Ace Gambler – Combat Feat

You deal in chance and fortune, in gold and blood, in swiftest and sweetest life & death, a cunning and charming creature of deceptive practice capable of doubling down with Lady Luck … winner take all.

    image

Prerequisite: Swashbuckler level 1st or Card Caster magus with the Flamboyant Arcana feat (see below) or Wild Star of Fortune level 4th; Deadly Dealer feat

Benefit: You always regain panache whenever you confirm a critical hit or make a killing blow with a card – Harrow card, playing card or even business card – that is used as a dart.

You add the following skills to your Derring-Do or Surprising Speed: Bluff, Profession (Gambler), Sense Motive, Sleight of Hand and Stealth. If you gain a special bonus or the benefit of special rules when using thrown daggers or thrown starknives, you always gain that bonus when using thrown cards.

You may expend one point of panache as a standard action to use ill omen as a spell-like ability; your character level is the caster level for this ability, and you use Intelligence or Charisma (your choice) to determine your concentration check bonus.

Additionally, at the end of any round in which you expend panache, you may choose to wager one final point of panache. If you do so, flip a coin – or roll a die or draw a card high-or-low, GM’s choice – and call it. If you call the result successfully, you immediately regain all panache spent this round.

Designer’s Note: It is recommended that a player with this feat have access to a stack of poker chips to represent her panache, for greater ease in paying-out or raking-in her points each round.

Special: If you are a Card Caster magus with the Flamboyant Arcana feat, the panache you regain from use of this feat may only be spent to activate abilities that normally require panache; they do not add to your normal arcane pool.

Campaign Note: In the Inner Sea, this feat is most common amongst Sczarni Swindlers with the Card Sharp Rogue Talent – who often select this ability as a Combat Trick – and is often seen among both Flying Blade and Inspired Blade swashbucklers. Further abroad, it is also used by exotic Fighting-Fan Dancers – usually armed with hanafuda cards – and by Scythe-Waltzing Reapers dedicated to Magdh, Norgorber or the formless Lord of Entropy. Amongst the few strongly-good-aligned users of this ability, many are dedicated to Irez or to Grandmother Crow.

  • Jailbreak & Retrofit Power-Armor

    Jailbreak & Retrofit Power-Armor – Pathfinder Feat

In the last, dark days of the Great Witchcraft Wars, mighty engines of mankind’s final hope were twisted, tainted & turned-inward against civilization.

    That power is now yours.

    image

    original image here

Prerequisites: Cyberware Ninjutsu, Machinesmith Theorist, Mysteries of the Machinesmith or Post-Modern Caster feat; you may not possess paladin or antipaladin levels; you may not possess a familiar, eidolon or animal companion from any class, feat or source except for the Outboard Sentence feat.

Benefit: You may freely take levels in the Anti-Witchcraft Armor Integrated Combat Enhancile prestige class even if you are not Lawful, and you never gain a Code of Conduct. You may also freely possess spell-casting class features, spell-like abilities or supernatural abilities; you may freely use spells, spell-like abilities and supernatural abilities – including ki – without disqualifying yourself from the prerequisites or requirements of that class.

You must meet all other requirements of that Prestige Class, including obtaining a piece of AWAICE power-armor and being a generally-humanoid creature of Medium-size or smaller.

While using activated power-armor, you may choose, if you desire, to retain one of your own physical ability scores [Str, Dex or Con] in lieu of taking the ability score of your power-armor.

Campaign Use: This feat is primarily found amongst the tinkerers of Alkenstar, who actively research ways around the limitations of their tech.

  • Savage Jaws of the Seascar

Savage Jaws of the Seascar – Combat Feat

A shape-changer of remarkable skill and surprising subtlety, you don the slick and bladed skin of an ancient, man-hunting god-beast perfectly adapted to its crushing, lethal environment, shifting like the blood-dimmed tide to better stalk your prey; without a blink of your black and soul-dead eyes, you may alter and fit the swift, fluid form of the ocean’s true apex predator.

    image

    original image from here

Prerequisite: Wereshark-Kin Skinwalker Heritage; Extra Feature feat

Benefit: You always gain a bite attack that deals 1d6 points of damage when you change shape. Gaining this bite attack is automatic and is not counted against your normal limit of bestial features.

You add the following special abilities to the bestial features from which you may choose when you change shape (see below):

    • +1d4 bleed damage on your bite attack; [+1d6 bleed damage]
    • bite attack damage increases by one step to 1d8; [increases to 1d10]. This increase stacks with the Improved Natural Attack feat
    • scent (in water or for bleeding targets only); [keen scent]
    • +1 racial bonus to natural armor; [+3 racial bonus to natural armor]
    • grab (bite attack); [grab (bite attack) with +4 bonus on combat maneuver checks made to start and maintain a grapple; in addition, after a successful grapple attempt following the use of your grab ability, you automatically make a sunder attempt against the armor worn by the creature grappled as a free action]
    • the critical range of your bite attack increases to 19-20; [critical range of your bite attack increases to 18-20]. This increase does not stack with Improved Critical or the keen quality.

If you possess the Extra Feature feat multiple times, you may choose to select one of the listed features above twice, rather than only once; if you select a given feature twice, you gain the second ability – in brackets, above – rather than the first listed ability.

Extra Feature becomes a Combat Feat for you, and may be taken in place of a Magus Arcana. You may also select the Extra Feature feat in lieu of a Rage Power; if you do so, you gain the additional bestial features only while raging.

Setting Note: In Minkai, this feat is most often taken as a combat trick by ninja loyal to Kelizandri, while in the Inner Sea it is best known to worshipers of Ovonovo and Roqorolos. It is said that the Kaneano – a tribe of Adaro dwelling in the reefs around Ilizmagorti on Mediogalti Island – meet thrice per year with a member of the Vernai who possesses this ability, as well.

    AK Romeo-MHIC Operative [Religion Trait]

“Yankee Echo, come back. Testing, one-two.”

“On-line, Yankee Tango; confirm. This channel is secure.”

“Affirmative, Echo. [pause in conversation] Jesus, I hate the drop.”

“We all hate the drop, Tango. And watch your language; we still have passive ears-on. I’d hate to have you written up for Satanic NJP.”

“Hell. It’s just the waiting that gets to me.”

“Tell me about it. Thirteen minutes and counting.”

“Getting itchy up here. With that much action on the ground, anyway. [pause in conversation] So, Echo, who are the quiet guys?”

“Them? [pause in conversation] They’re Romeo-Mike; on-loan from the CIA, from what Squad Alpha says. Just got done mopping up in Pretoria.”

    image

    “Never heard of them.”

“You wouldn’t have. Vatican witch-hunters guild, from what I hear, secret society or whatever from way-back in the way-back; old-school Knights-Templar kind of stuff. Illuminati ninja vigilante anti-Communists.”

“Sorry, Echo; geology was never my strong suit.”

“Yeah, I can tell. Anyway: they’re a private outfit, big on divine right of kings, got a kill-sheet longer than the Malleus Maleficarum they swear-on.”

    “I don’t like ‘em.”

“They don’t like you. Twelve minutes. Anyway, word is there was some chatter about security concerns folding them in; their sainted forefathers apparently had beef with the Colonies. Accusations on both sides of witch-blood, demon-worship, something something, buildings got blown up, somebody poisoned somebody’s daughter, yada-yada, all the files have since been scrubbed or redacted.”

    “Colonies?”

“Us, Tango. Back in 1776; hardcore Loyalist-Royalists, these guys.”

    “Jesus.”

“Language. This time two years ago, they were left-field, right-wing wackos and quacks working Colombian death-squads and performing exorcisms with a shotgun; now, they’re the closest we have to experts in the field.”

    “Actual witch-hunters. I’ll be damned.”

“Language, Tango. Last time I’ll say it.”

“Affirmative, Echo. [pause in conversation] Their suits custom?”

“Yeah, came out of Aka Kamakiri Manufacturing/Holdings International Consolidated or some such. Lighter than ours, more flexible, refitted design. They’re a sight to behold on the field, from what I hear. Not that we’ll be seeing them much if all goes according to plan; they have sealed orders.”

    “Sealed orders?”

“Sealed and signed, Tango, by the President himself. We’re just their ride. Look sharp; eleven minutes and incoming.”

    “Man, I hate the drop.”

    image

Prerequisite: Lawful Neutral or Lawful Evil alignment; worshiper of Achaekek

Benefit: While using activated power-armor, you may choose, if you desire, to retain one of your own physical ability scores [Str, Dex or Con] in lieu of taking the ability score of your power-armor.

You may freely associate-with and take orders from a spellcaster or creature with spell-like abilities, so long as that character or creature is known to you as a fellow worshiper of the Mantis God.

You may freely use ki without violating your Code of Conduct or disqualifying yourself from class prerequisites.

You qualify for the Blessed Pawn of He Who Walks in Blood feat – as well as the Red Reaper of Achaekek feat, if you also possess the Scythe-Waltzing Reaper archetype – and may freely expend daily uses of your Electrical Touch to activate any of the abilities granted by that feat.

Designer’s Note: This special prestige class is especially appropriate in a Pathfinder Modern Auspices of the Armageddon Engine Campaign.

Within the Inner Sea, this trait is seen as proof of the universal power and unlimited authority of the Red Mantis by his cultists.

  • Storm of the Bright Sun

Storm of the Bright Sun – Divine Feat

You follow in the ashen footsteps of Kohal, bearing and remembering always what fatal price he paid … alongside the stern wrath of a shaken goddess in the wake of such high cost. His ultimate and untimely sacrifice was the debt which ever comes of treating with the mad and the damned; her dreadful fury in its aftermath was the eternal, bitter consequence of spilled blood.

With each sunlit breath you take, you spare the countless sinners who surround you, rather than setting them – each and all – immediately to flame, blade and the kindhearted judgement of a better world. When you are finally unleashed, however, you are the burning whirlwind incarnate: capable of reducing entire cities to pits of flame and scattered dust on the high wind.

    image

    original image from here

Prerequisite: Neutral Good alignment; worshiper of Sarenrae; Wildfire Druid archetype

Benefit: You may direct any number of flaming spheres as a single move action.

In addition, all of the bonus spells listed below are added directly to your druid spell list at their appropriate level, if they are not already included there. Thus, you add both detect secret doors and shield of faith as 1st level druid spells; you also add admonishing ray, bless weapon, continual flame and see invisibility as 2nd level druid spells, for example. Quickened flaming sphere is added to your druid spell list as a 6th level spell even if you do not possess the Quicken Spell Feat.

As normal, you may always sacrifice any of these prepared spells to cast a spell from the Fire Domain of the same level.

At 4th level, you gain all the benefits of the Storm Lord archetype (as adjusted below); you do not gain the wild shape class feature, neither at 6th level nor at any other time. You gain several spell-like abilities in exchange for losing others:

    • At 4th level, you gain cloak of shade, detect secret doors, flare burst and shield of faith in lieu of obscuring mist.
    • At 6th level, you gain admonishing ray, bless weapon, continual flame, heat metal, shifting sand and see invisibility in lieu of fog cloud.
    • At 8th level, you gain cup of dust, daylight, heroism and searing light in lieu of sleet storm.
    • At 10th level, you gain bolt of glory, fire shield, flame strike, holy smite, quickened flaming sphere, righteous might, transmute rock to mud (creates loose sand instead of mud) and true seeing in lieu of ice storm.

Whenever you use storm of vengeance, whether as a spell or spell-like ability, your rain deals fire damage rather than acid damage and stones fall from the sky, rather than hail.

Designer’s Note: For a more front-line combatant – especially an ifrit – this feat is of especial use with the Whirling Dervish swashbuckler archetype, along with the Burning Storm of Mystic Winds and Elemental Adeptness (Flame) or (Wind) feats, substituting panache for grit. This feat is often taken in conjunction with the Wings of Burning Faith feat.

  • Green Wizard of Doom

Green Wizard of Doom – Marvel Pathfinder Feat

Only Doom would wield such power.

    Only Doom would dare.

    image

Prerequisite: Arcane Pool; Dust Pool; must claim either Royalty or Nobility of Latveria (see Special, below).

Benefit: You may freely expend Dust in place of Arcane points and vice versa, much as if you possessed the Martial Champion Majesty.

You gain proficiency with all armor (heavy, light, and medium); thus, you are proficient with mithral full plate. You may cast magus spells while wearing medium armor without incurring the normal arcane spell failure chance. While wearing heavy armor or a shield, you incur a normal chance of arcane spell failure if the spell in question has a somatic component. You still incur the normal arcane spell failure chance for arcane spells received from other classes.

You are considered to have the Improved Unarmed Strike feat when attacking with a gauntlet, and you deal damage with your gauntlet as if you were two size categories larger. Thus, you deal 1d6 points of damage with a gauntlet strike – instead of 1d3 – if you are a Medium creature.

Special: Any character with an Arcane Pool knighted by the royalty of Latveria – including a construct – also qualifies for this feat.

Designer’s Commentary: This feat is explicitly designed for use with the Marvel Pathfinders setting and similarly weird fantasy, and as such is not appropriate to all campaigns. Such incredible power is utterly unknown and without precedent in the Inner Sea region … but a figure of such stature might arise in a dark age to come, should a particularly genius child of Varisian heritage find himself subject to sufficient outrages.

  • Anti-Witchcraft Armor Integrated Combat Enhancile — Prestige Class

Anti-Witchcraft Armor Integrated Combat Enhancile – Pathfinder Prestige Class

“Outgunned? Yes indeed, Senator, we have them outgunned, when we can find them … and keep them to the field.

“Let me finish, Senator. Yes: so far, the enemy has consistently failed to yet summon, enhance or command anything capable of withstanding direct assault from a M61 Vulcan or 9M311K for more than a handful of seconds … not that the witch-bloods aren’t actively trying to one-up and out-do themselves.

“Indeed, sir: we’re faster and we hit harder than the enemy can match, boasting far greater range, superior maneuverability and higher-grade stopping-power by a mile.

“Yes, Mr. President: even when compared to the heaviest of their hitters we’ve seen so-far – their so-called ‘dragons’ – despite what you might see on the nightly news.

    image

“The fire-wyrm is well dead, along with her coven; I have on my desk at home the final, grisly photographic confirmation, if you care to see it, taken in the remains of what used to be the Tongrass National Forest. I warn you, it’s not pretty … nor safe for those with weak stomachs. She and her loyal witch-daughters fought to the end, in defiance of all the physics we once claimed to understand, freely manipulating at an apparently sub-quantum level the thermal output of oxidation and the exothermic chemical processes of combustion.

“We won, certainly and decisively. Yet a show of force of that magnitude takes its toll even on the victors. It isn’t sustainable.

“Why, sir? Well, because it takes two men to fly a single Apache, B-2 or Tomcat, Senator. Two very well-trained and valuable men, I’m sure you would agree, of whom we have already lost too many – to stupidity, to arrogance, to misinformation, take your pick. To fight, it takes those two men and their command, along with a support-structure of a half-dozen top-of-the-line service personnel just to inspect and maintain their craft, plus a dozen more to keep it properly armed and fueled.

“Add to that god-only-knows how many technicians, drivers, security-forces and direct management we need actively working full-time to keep supplies and communications up and operational at multiple fully-functional bases of forward-operation, and you’re talking an army.

“Yes. A literal army, sir. One at war.

“Sustaining all of those things takes time, money, preparation and commitment.

“Any and all of those qualities are bound to waver in the face of any human enemy; what we face is utterly inhuman.

“It takes only a single half-bright, naked and unarmed witch – without access to her spellbook – less than six seconds to cross ten yards and speak the secret words that turn a man’s mind to mush for upwards of nineteen hours … and in a way we can barely detect let alone begin to understand, let me be clear.

“We still don’t know how many of them it takes to command the dead to fight, turn our own cities and weapons against us, make the earth itself into an enemy or to call up actual devils from hell.

“The are adaptable, swift-moving enigmas walking invisibly amongst us; they cannot be caged, bugged, tracked, starved-out or – in some cases – even remembered. Simply put, Mr. President, the witch doesn’t have to be bulletproof if we can’t target her, can’t identify her and can’t keep her down.

“We are in the midst of the very definition of an existential threat, gentlemen.

“The enemy hides amongst civilians, spreading her poison in shadows, and she has been doing this for a very long time. Since the era of Rome and Carthage, if not longer; they’ve been mastering mundane and arcane tricks of stealth warfare for twenty-odd centuries that we’ve consistently failed to adapt-to since Vietnam. Detaining these people isn’t working; investigations and lab-reports are leading nowhere, and we’re losing cities even as we carpet-bomb the holy living hell out of disused sewers, empty catacombs and rotting suburban basements, if you’ll pardon my language.

“We need advanced mobile, self-sustained, independent and above-all direct intervention, Mr. President. Active, armed and in-the-field, with jurisdiction to suspend civil liberties, tribunal formalities and habeas corpus at their own discretion.

    “We need this program.

    “We must AWAKE.

“Not later, not next quarter, not tomorrow … but now.

“Because make no mistake, gentlemen: we are losing this conflict – and badly – one day, one mile and one mind at a time.”

    ———-

The was a once a war, somewhere far away, between the human and the witch.

Blackest madness struck-out at a world of innocence from the deep shadows, sharp after centuries of hiding and practicing at their quiet, internecine feuds.

The strange, unknowable tools of the witch curdled the blood and savaged the mind – reducing mighty nations to desperate, hungry and paranoid rabble – even as their clever, coiling servants slaughtered civilians by the tens of thousands. By rooftop and alleyway, the great cities fell; concrete shattered and asphalt buckled as demons stalked the neon-lit night. One by one, the great arteries of money and loyalty, traffic and radio, electricity and oil were severed, until a flourishing utopia bent helpless, weak on its knees.

Nyarlathotep and the Yellow King howled in wild & low-burning places.

In the final days of that now-ashen world, humanity brought to bear its finest weapons against the hidden, the sorcerous and the monstrous; mankind and sanity alike faced utter extinction, crowded-out and systematically devoured by rapacious beasts of occult lineage, obscene size, odious hungers and most otherworldly strength.

At their last effort, the great chiefs of proud corporations and secret cabals drew together – as one – every ounce of their considerable technological research and ideological resources into a singular push: one last dragon-hunt, one last witch-burning, one last stand of men with blades and guns.

    image

Their effort was not enough, it seems, and the spark of civilization was there extinguished.

  • Hidden & Twisting Song

Hidden & Twisting Song – Pathfinder Feat

Your black soul echoes from deep and forbidden places, warped by alien pipes and carried to the blushing, weeping heavens upon ash-scented and rot-tinged breath. You exhale only lovely commands and drift upon the wails of supplicant adoration, shattering psyches anew with each coil of your wicked tongue. From the gentle, iron-hard grasp of your aching, slicing, cigarette-sweet hymn, no mind can truly escape unscathed … for your victims never know what delicious and self-emptying madness it is which snares and ensorcels them.

    image

    original image from here

Prerequisite: Captivating Song special ability; Fervor or Touch of Corruption class feature

Benefit: You may choose as a free action to vocalize your captivating song at a sub-audible frequency – effectively creating infrasound – thereby potentially affecting creatures otherwise unaware that they can even hear you. The total spread of your captivating song drops to 1/10th of its normal reach while you use your ability in this way; thus, the song’s area of effect falls to a range of 30 ft. for most creatures with this ability. Sentient creatures within the area of your captivating song, when it is used in this way, are entitled to a Perception check [DC 10 + your Charisma modifier + ½ your HD] at the end of each round to notice that there is something like a low, ghostly and sourceless hum edging into the very periphery of their hearing. A creature who succeeds on this special skill check by 5 or more instead pinpoints you as the source.

While you are singing in this way, you may freely speak, cast spells with verbal components and use voice-based bardic abilities normally, although the volume of such sound changes to an eerie whisper.

In addition, at will as a full-round action so long as you retain one daily use of touch of corruption or fervor, you may take on the form of a special humanoid creature (see sidebar), as per a disguise self spell with an unlimited duration except that the apparent creature-type you choose does not need to match your own: thus, you may freely appear to be a human, elf or dhampir even if you are in actuality a monstrous humanoid, outsider or undead.

Your total HD is the caster level for this and all other spell-like abilities granted by this feat (see below); you use Charisma to determine your concentration check bonus. The saving throw against these special spell-like abilities, if any, is equal to 10 + ½ your HD + Charisma bonus.

Special Humanoid Appearance: You choose the specific appearance –- including the height, weight, build, eye & hair color, type, subtype, facial features, apparent age, apparent ethnicity, apparent gender and all other specific visual qualities –- of your special humanoid form when this feat is selected.

This form, at your GM’s discretion, must have some basis in reality: it must be based upon a person you have eaten, for example, or must fulfill the deepest desires of a person selected by you.

Once your specific form has been chosen, it cannot be changed.

While a creature is under the effects of your captivating song, you may additionally expend one daily use of your touch of corruption as a standard action to use charm person (animals and monstrous humanoids are also affected by this ability) or to use suggestion upon them as a spell-like ability.

At 10th level, while a creature is under the influence of your captivating song, you may expend two daily uses of your touch of corruption as a standard action to use triggered suggestion upon them as a spell-like ability.

At 15th level, while a creature is under the influence of your captivating song, you may expend three daily uses of your touch of corruption as a standard action to use dominate person upon them as a spell-like ability. Animals and monstrous humanoids are also affected by this ability.

If the save of a creature targeted in this way is unsuccessful, that creature remains affected by your spell-like ability even after your captivating song ends or the target depart the area of effect.

Special: This feat may be taken multiple times; each time it is selected, you gain the use of another humanoid form and may select which appearance to use as a disguise whenever this feat is activated. In addition, your character level is treated as 4 higher for purposes of determining your access to the special spell-like abilities granted by this feat.

You may always expend fervor in place of daily uses of touch of corruption to activate the abilities granted by this feat.

Designer’s Commentary: This feat is primarily intended for use by harpy worshipers of both Lamashtu and Pazuzu, with each dark choir proclaiming themselves the original recipients of this great blessing and the other cult to be little more than low pretenders; vicious proxy-wars have been fought between adherents to those warring ideologies, culminating in harpy-queens clashing across thunder-torn skies as mind-bent armies of humans, jackals and minotaurs gleefully tear one another to slick and bloody shreds below.

This feat it is also known amongst worshipers of Nyarlathotep, Socothbenoth, Zaebos and even a few aerial cults of Nethys. Although it might potentially be learned by a worshiper of Desna – and may be hinted-at in certain terrible prophecies – no known instances of such a thing have occurred.

Red Reaper of Achaekek – Combat Feat

In the ancient days before Earthfall – more than one hundred centuries past, during the unknowable Height of Azlant – your great god was known as the patron force of monsters, terror and death by natural disaster far more than he was known as a mere lord of assassins.

Once, members of your cult strode the streets of plague-wracked and storm-tossed cities openly as angels of mercy and judgement, working darkest miracles and brightest vengeance as they saw fit, guided only by the iron words of holy death-dealers blessed and moved by the Red Mantis himself.

Those days, whisper some of your nameless masters, have begun once again.

When that wine-dark age truly dawns, and the signs come right, you shall be ready.

As a swift and loyal soldier indoctrinated in the eldest ways, you may regain panache in great torrents by slicing open willing or helpless flesh … cut, weeping, to reveal that crimson ocean which cascades beneath and unites all life-in-ending, all for the glory of He Who Walks in Blood.

Prerequisite: Scythe-Waltzing Reaper archetype; Blessed Pawn of He Who Walks in Blood feat

Benefit: You obtain the use of a supernatural blood pool with the following limits, benefits and restrictions:

    • Your blood pool begins each day at zero, but you may hold a maximum number of blood points in this pool equal to your Charisma modifier or to your Wisdom modifier (your choice).
    • To add points to your blood pool, you must shed either your own blood or the blood of a willing or helpless living creature. As a full-round action, you may deal a number of hit points of damage equal to twice your character level to yourself – or to a single willing or helpless living adjacent creature – and thus gain a single blood point.
    • As a move action, you may exchange a single point from your blood pool for a point of panache, or vice versa.

In this way, you may exchange up to two points each round by using a pair of move actions.

In addition, if you possess the Exotic Weapon Proficiency (sawtooth sabre) feat, you may use that weapon in all of the same ways that you may use a scythe: thus, you additionally regain panache when you make a killing blow or confirm a critical hit with a sawtooth sabre. You also gain all benefits of the Weapon Finesse, Improved Trip and Slashing Grace feats when wielding a sawtooth sabre, and such a weapon is treated as a “light melee piercing weapon” for purposes of all feats and Deeds. You also gain the attack roll, damage roll and critical bonuses of the Waltzing Blade-Devotion and Waltzing Blade-Mastery class features when using a sawtooth saber, just as with a scythe.

If you ever gain spell-casting abilities of any kind, such as from the Singer of Praise class, you may immediately retrain the Blessed Pawn of He Who Walks in Blood feat to Spell Focus (any school) and retrain this feat to Bloodmage Initiate, fulfilling the first steps necessary to become a true Bloodmage.
